Camala Beek, CPC, ELI-MP
I am a lifelong learner who is fascinated with how communication and science impacts the way people think and act.
In college, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do, but I knew that if I could communicate well with people, I could do anything, so I majored in Communications. I was a natural writer and so it made sense. Before long, I fell into marketing.
As a marketer, I learned how people can be influenced by words and colors, which was fascinating, yet there was a large part of me that had a values conflict with the content I was propagating. I yearned for a career that had more impact on people in a way that felt authentic to me.
As such, I was inspired to continue my affinity for communication by becoming a certified professional coach. With this training, I was able to deepen my understanding of how important communication is in our lives.
Along my personal development journey and coaching education, I discovered so much scientific research around the power of our thoughts and words and the impact it has on our lives. I realized that not only was communication a powerful tool in marketing, but that it’s the heartbeat of existence and all life on Earth, whether spoken or internalized.
Our words carry an energy that invoke emotions, which are the most powerful forms of change.
